Teaching and Learning Coordinator
We are inviting applications for a Teaching and Learning Coordinator at the brand-new Bennett School of Public Policy (BSPP), launching within the Faculty of Human, Social and Political Science at the University of Cambridge. This key role will begin on 8 September 2025 or as soon as possible thereafter.
This is a rare and exciting opportunity to join a newly established Department which is set to become a world renowned leader in policy research and education. The BSPP has ambitious growth plans including launching a new M.Phil in Digital Policy alongside an expanded M.Phil in Public Policy, and the development of a new PhD programme. The Teaching and Learning Coordinator will play a central role in supporting this academic development, overseeing the administration of all teaching and learning activities across the School's education programmes.
In this pivotal role, you will:
- Oversee all teaching and learning support for the School's growing academic programmes
- Lead and manage a team of professional services staff, with responsibility for admissions and course operations
- Act as Secretary to the Education Management Committee and other related sub-meetings
- Play a key role in designing and implementing the processes, policies and structures that will shape the BSPP's education portfolio
This role is an opportunity to lead, influence, and oversee innovations to the administration of the School's teaching and learning. You will work closely with academic staff and professional services colleagues at all levels, and be involved in strategic decision-making and cross-cutting projects as they develop.
The role would suit someone with:
- Experience of managing academic programmes and supporting committee work
- A proactive and solutions-focused approach
- A strong grasp of (or willingness to develop expertise in) university systems, policies and procedures
- A desire to help shape a new institution and make a real impact
