Post Doctoral Research Associate in Applied Analysis of Geophysical Fluid Models
A position exists for a Post Doctoral Research Associate in the Department of Applied Mathematics and Theoretical Physics to work on rigorous mathematical analysis of geophysical fluid equations modelling the coupling of atmospheric and micro-physics moisture dynamics. The work will be carried out in collaboration with and under the supervision of Professor Edriss S. Titi. Duties include mathematical analysis of geophysical models and rigorous justification of their derivation. The holder will also be expected to plan and manage their own research and administration, with guidance if required. You must be able to communicate material of a technical nature and be able to build internal and external contacts. You may be asked to assist in the supervision of student projects, the development of student research skills, and deliver seminars relating to the research area.
The successful candidate should possess a PhD in Applied Analysis of Geophysical Fluid Models.
Limit of tenure: 1 year in the first instance.
