Associate Delivery Manager [Secondment] [Temporary Cover] Internal Secondment Opportunity
Temporary cover: This post is fixed-term for 6 months or the return of the post holder, whichever is the earlier.
The post is offered to internal candidates only on the basis of a secondment from their current role in the University.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join University Information Services as Associate Delivery Manager, providing maternity cover for the current postholder on a 6-month fixed term contract. The successful applicant will support the Cyber Security Risk Reduction Programme during this period.
This is a great opportunity to work on a high-profile strategic initiative within UIS. You will support the CISO (Chief Information Security Officer) and will work with various colleagues across the department to track and organise key activities.
In addition to excellent administrative and coordination skills, you will have some experience working in an IT environment and using IT applications such as PowerBI to capture, analyse and represent data. Ideally you will have some experience working in a PMO or as a project manager or coordinator. You will need to be diligent, organised, reliable and proactive, with great communication skills.
As part of this role, you will be expected to:
- Provide regular reporting for the Cyber Security Risk Reduction Programme to be used at ISC, UIS GSLT, etc. This will include visualisation of data via dashboards and charts and will utilise a variety of data sources, such as Tanium.
- Support the SMP compliance workstream, by responding to queries (such as exemption requests) and tracking progress across UIS and the wider University.
- Liaise with colleagues in the Comms team on engagement activities around the Tanium rollout and SMP compliance.
- Maintain programme actions, plans and risk registers.
- Collaborate effectively with UIS teams to address and resolve inquiries related to policies and technical standards. Ensure that responses are documented systematically, with key questions and answers recorded centrally to enhance knowledge sharing and streamline future operations.
- Capture and consolidate feedback from team members on the application and impact of policies and technical standards, identifying potential challenges or risks to delivery. Drive engagement and facilitate strategic discussions with the broader Cyber Security Risk Reduction team to ensure alignment with risk management objectives and continuous improvement initiatives.
