Assistant Teaching Professor (Fixed Term)


Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available for 10 months.

The Faculty of Economics at the University of Cambridge is one of the leading, and longest standing, economics faculties in Europe. The Faculty of Economics seeks applications for the post of Assistant Teaching Professor available from 1 October 2025 or soon after.

The successful candidate will teach both undergraduates and postgraduates in our various programmes in economics, with a main focus on macroeconomics.

Candidates should have a PhD in a related area, or equivalent demonstrable experience. Candidates must be able to demonstrate evidence of recognition and excellence in teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate level.

Three references will be sought upon receipt of the application.

The successful candidate will be expected to undertake teaching (which may be in the form of lectures, seminars and classes) and will also be expected to examine as required and to undertake administrative tasks as directed by the Faculty Board.

Candidates should be able to demonstrate a potential for an effective contribution to teaching and to their subject in areas other than teaching, such as general contribution to their discipline and administration.
