CGHR Coordinator [Maternity cover] (Part Time)
Temporary maternity cover: This post is fixed-term for 12 months or the return of the post holder, whichever is the earlier.
The Centre of Governance and Human Rights (CGHR), housed within the Department of Politics and International Studies (POLIS), is seeking to appoint a part-time Centre Coordinator for 18.25 hours per week. This is a great opportunity for an individual with comprehensive administrative experience to work on their own initiative and to innovate within a challenging and rewarding environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day coordination of students, researchers and faculty from across the University and beyond to deliver the Centre's activities in line with its strategy. This involves providing coordination support for a range of people and locations across diverse activities from research, publicity/outreach, events, practitioner relationships and wider engagements. The role holder will also coordinate the CGHR Student Group as well as organise events and meetings, coordinate Centre promotion and contribute to the gathering and analysis of data.
The role involves supporting and helping to improve a range of communications activities, including managing the Centre website and Social Media The role-holder is also responsible for an efficient administrative service across all aspects of the Centre, including supporting Centre research associates and its postdoctoral scholar, offering a clerical service to the Centre Co-Directors and responding to all Centre enquiries. They will provide administrative support for the financial management of the Centre accounts. Under the direction of the Co-Directors, the role provides scope for contributing new ideas to build upon the Centre's past successes.
