Learning & Development Administrator


Are you an experienced, proactive, and efficient administrator looking for an exciting new challenge? We have an opportunity for you to join our team and play a key role in supporting learning and development at the University of Cambridge.

About Learning and Development (L&D):

Our L&D team is dedicated to supporting excellence in learning, teaching, and research at the University of Cambridge.

We provide professional, vocational, and leadership development for over 13,000 university staff, aligning with the University's wider mission and strategy.

The role:

As a member of the Administration Team, you will:

  • Have responsibility for carrying out the efficient administration of a range of training courses.
  • Provide support for specialist programmes or projects.
  • Carry out other administrative tasks.

About you:

We are looking for someone who brings:

  • Wide-ranging experience of administration.
  • An ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • An ability to provide high level of customer service to staff, students, external trainers and other contacts.
  • Excellent communication, organisation and interpersonal skills, as well as a flexible approach to work.
  • The ability to plan, prioritise and organise your own workload.
  • The ability to develop good working relationships with key stakeholders and colleagues.
  • Experience of using Microsoft Office, in particular Outlook, Excel and Word, to an intermediate level.
  • Experience of working with IT systems and an ability to quickly understand and use new systems.
  • A pro-active approach to your work, including problem solving.
  • An ability to use your initiative to make decisions and suggest improvements as necessary.
  • Attention to detail, a high level of accuracy.
  • Effective time management skills.
