Quality Assurance Coordinator (Internal Applicants Only)
Applications are invited for the position of Quality Assurance Coordinator in the Radiopharmaceutical Unit (RPU), Wolfson Brain Imaging Centre, a Major Imaging Research Facility within the Department of Clinical Neurosciences located on the Cambridge Biomedical Campus. The key function of the RPU is to manufacture short-lived radiopharmaceuticals to the high standards of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) for the clinical imaging technique of Positron Emission Tomography (PET).
You will be responsible for supporting the quality assurance framework for PET radiopharmaceuticals, including implementing the requirements of GMP for obtaining and retaining the WBIC's regulatory manufacturing licenses. This post also supports the QA Manager in designing, implementing and monitoring the proper adoption by all RPU staff of all GMP processes to ensure quality assurance of all radiopharmaceuticals manufactured in the facility. This is a key role to provide QA duties in the Radiopharmaceutical Unit, ensuring the Quality Management System (QMS) remains in regulatory compliance at all times
The ideal candidate will have a BSc degree in a scientific discipline and have had GMP training. Specialist knowledge and skills in the areas QA, QC, pharmaceutical production and GMP, gained through a period of practical experience and theoretical training. The successful candidate will work as part of a dynamic team. You will also be motivated, reliable and have excellent communication skills and demonstrate a high degree of accuracy and precision in all work.
