Senior Programme Manager, NIHR BioResource for Translational Research (Fixed Term)

We are recruiting a Senior Programme Manager who will play a leading role in the delivery of key NIHR BioResource programmes, including the implementation of IT infrastructure and the recruitment of diverse ethnic groups.

About the job:

The scope of the Senior Programme Manager role is to continuously improve the delivery of key NIHR BioResource-wide programmes, ensuring appropriate governance, monitoring and decision-making. To develop and instil delivery processes and mindset within the organisation and to design and implement skills resourcing plans to deliver key programmes effectively on an ongoing basis.

About you:

You will have demonstrable experience of applying project methodologies involving multi-disciplinary development and operational teams in the delivery of multi-disciplinary projects, combined with a logical, pragmatic approach to project management and the ability to adapt an approach to meet the needs of any required delivery process. Ideally, you will have experience in delivery of IT projects using a range of methodologies, and PRINCE 2 Practitioner or other equivalent qualification.

Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available for 3 years in the first instance. NIHR BioResource is funded by the National Institute for Health & Care Research (NIHR) on a 5-year funding cycle.
