Postdoctoral Fellowship (Expressions of Interest) (Fixed Term)
The Faculty of Divinity is inviting expressions of interest from recently completed or final stage doctoral students whom the Faculty might support in next year's (2025-26) round of applications for British Academy Postdoctoral Fellowships (3 years), the Leverhulme Early Career Fellowship (3 years), Marie-Curie Fellowships (2 years) and British Academy International Fellowships (3 years). The aim of such schemes is to offer opportunities for outstanding early career researchers to strengthen their experience of research and teaching in a university environment, which will develop their curriculum vitae and improve their prospects of obtaining permanent lecturing posts. Candidates may express a preference for which opportunity for postdoctoral research they wish to be considered, but the Faculty may put the selected applicants forward for a different scheme depending on the criteria.
The Faculty of Divinity will only be able to support a limited number of applications. Consequently, expressions of interest are invited only for areas where the Faculty has an existing research interest. Further details about the Faculty and its research can be found at: www.divinity.cam.ac.uk.
In order to be considered it will be necessary to submit an expression of interest by 9 June 2025. Expressions of interest should be sent via web recruitment and should include the following information: 1) a 2-page CV to include institution and date of PhD (or anticipated date of submission/examination), and a list of publications and presentations; 2) Proposed mentor within the Faculty, and whether that mentor has been approached; 3) Title of the proposed postdoctoral research; 4) A 1000 word summary of proposed research including outputs.
Further questions can be directed to the Faculty Manager, Dr Peter Harland, administrator@divinity.cam.ac.uk.
