Research Assistant in Climate Compatible Growth - Copy Editor (Fixed Term)
A Copy Writer position has become available as part of the Climate Compatible Growth (CCG) programme, an exciting research programme involving leading UK universities and KTH Sweden. CCG is funded by the UK's Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO), which aims to support investment in sustainable energy and transport systems to meet development priorities in the Global South. The key partner countries in CCG are Kenya, Zambia, Ghana, Lao PDR, Viet Nam and India where joint research projects are in place. The specific focus of this post is for a Research Writer to assist the Research Team with scientific writing of reports, grants, articles and policy briefs, synthesis of data and information, copy-editing, and project collaboration.
The post holder will be located in Cambridge, UK. This is a full-time position and offered on an initial fixed- term contract basis for three months, starting as soon as possible.

The skills, qualifications and experience required to perform the role are:
- Applicants must have a Master's degree level, preferably in development studies or political science
- Experience
- with development organisations in international contexts
- With external communications using social media
- Investigating critical minerals value chains and human challenges related to this sector
- With using curation software (e.g. Wordpress) and social media platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn etc...)
- Understanding of the research environment, how research is organised, funded and delivered
- Collaboration and communication with multicultural partners, policymakers, other research institutions, colleagues
- Exceptional writing and copy-editing skills across different contexts (i.e. research, media and policy)
- Exceptional interpersonal and collaborative skills
Salary Range: Research Assistant: £32,546 - £35,116
Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available for 3 months in the first instance.
