Clinical Research Associate (Part Time, Fixed Term)


Applications are invited for a part-time (0.4 FTE) clinical postdoctoral research associate position in the Jones laboratory within the Dept of Clinical Neurosciences, with funding until the end of December 2025. The Jones' lab works at the interface of clinical and laboratory science, aiming to better understand and develop novel treatments for neurological disorders. In particular, the successful candidate will contribute to an ongoing programme of research aimed at understanding the immunopathogenesis of peripheral inflammatory neuropathies.

We are seeking a post-MRCP clinician/neurology trainee with a PhD in neuroscience and relevant experience and specialist knowledge in the fields of peripheral nerve disorders, flow cytometry and immunology assays. The post holder must be licensed to work as a doctor in the UK and must have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work flexibly and co-operatively with clinicians and within a scientific team consisting of research assistants, doctoral students, and post-doctoral researchers.

The post-holder will have the opportunity to develop their own research interests within the wider programme and will be expected to support and contribute to other related collaborative projects.

This appointment requires an Honorary Clinical Contract.
