Seminar Assistant (Fixed Term)


We are seeking an organised, enthusiastic individual to join our team who will play a crucial role in administering GPEG seminars, provide general administration support and assist the GP Placement Administrator.

The General Practice Education Group (GPEG) organises and delivers GP seminar teaching and placements for medical students at the University of Cambridge. GPEG sits within the Department of Public Health and Primary Care (DPHPC) in the School of Clinical Medicine. The post holder will work within GPEG's administration team (6 individuals in total) and will work alongside our 8 GP's to support delivery of medical student teaching.

The successful application will be educated to 'A' Level standard in particular Maths and English or hold equivalent experience. The post-holder will have strong organisational skills with experience of working in an office environment. They must have the ability to work as part of a team to deliver a task and be able to handle situations and make quick decisions. They will have experience of communicating with a wide range of individuals and managing events for large numbers of people. Experience of working in an academic environment is desirable.

This post is full-time and the funds for this post are available until 15 January 2027.

You will be based in the Department of Public Health and Primary Care, East Forvie Building, University Forvie Site, Robinson Way, Cambridge Biomedical Campus, Cambridge CB2 0SR (approx 2 miles south of city centre)
