Occupational Health Technician (Fixed Term)


Are you looking for a full-time role working within a small dynamic team? Would you like the opportunity to develop your clinical or health surveillance skills? Do you want to take on a role that provides you with a comprehensive training programme? If your answer is yes, then we have an exciting opportunity for you as an Occupational Health Technician working with the Occupational Health Service. This is part of the University Occupational Health and Safety Service and is responsible for the development of occupational health support, compliance and one of the support services for staff and studentships throughout the University and Departments.

In this role you will have the chance to assist in the delivery of occupational health services, under the supervision of a qualified Occupational Health Nurse Adviser. The role will allow you the opportunity to be involved in a range of clinical and administrative work activities, consistent with statutory health and safety legislation as well as local policies and procedures. You will have the chance to be involved in health surveillance, venepuncture and to develop your knowledge about hazards in a varied workplace.

Are you confident using standard IT systems including 'Microsoft Office' and do you have any familiarity of occupational health practices? Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available for 2 years in the first instance.
