HR Administrative Assistant


The Department of Medicine is the largest Department in the School of Clinical Medicine at the University of Cambridge. Research is our major focus, from the fundamental aspects of biology through to work on disease mechanisms as well as clinical translations.

An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Professional Service Team for a HR Administrator to join our friendly HR team. The position is available on a full-time, permanent basis. The role holder reports to the Senior HR Coordinator.

This position plays an important part in the HR team, providing key administration support, and an efficient service to the wider Department. The ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail and be well organised. You will be self-motivated and reliable, with previous administrative experience, and be used to dealing with confidential information. You will be working with multiple processes and managing your own workload to meet multiple deadlines. A good general knowledge surrounding the concepts and principles of HR administration is highly desirable, along with the desire to learn and develop further skills in this area.

Candidates should be educated to at least A-level standard/NVQ level 3 or equivalent level of practical experience.

The HR team currently supports a hybrid working arrangement, and this post will be included on a rota with three days in the office/two days working from home.
