Communications Coordinator (Mastercard Foundation Program) (Fixed Term)


This is an exciting opportunity to join the Programme team, helping to develop and implement an effective multi-channel communications strategy on behalf of this new initiative for the collegiate University. The role holder will work across the scholar and collaborative arms of this initiative. They will profile and showcase activities and achievements of scholars, both current and alumni, demonstrating the impact the program will have on individuals. The role holder will engage with the collaborative arm of the program, part of which will involve working with partners on the African continent to promote opportunities and showcase achievements, hence, demonstrating the impact of the program on institutions and ecosystems.

The Programme consists of three main strands, designed to:

*Create educational opportunities through an interdisciplinary, climate resilience and sustainability themed Scholars Program at Cambridge.

*Strengthen Centres of Excellence at anchor institutions in the Collaborative.

*Cultivate networks, transform policy, and facilitate learning in Africa to enable sustainable ecosystem impact

The role holder will be expected to provide key operational support to the Programme team, with an emphasis on outreach and partnership development and coordinating communication activities.

You'll bring experience of a broad range of communications disciplines, reputation management and stakeholder liaison to develop partnerships. You will have excellent interpersonal skills with ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels, working collaboratively with other teams across Collegiate Cambridge to develop and deliver communications materials and content targeted to both broad and specific external constituencies. You will be able to plan and prioritise a number of projects simultaneously, with the ability to prioritise a complex workload and to work independently with minimum supervision to meet deadlines.

Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available until 31 July 2030 in the first instance.
