Planned, Preventative, Maintenance (PPM) Supervisor (Internal Applicants only)


Your Responsibilities

The University of Cambridge is seeking an experienced individual to supervise the Planned, Preventative Maintenance Team within our Estates Division. The University and partnering maintenance contractor Equans have created this unique working model to ensure all retained personal are fully embedded into the Equans team, yet are retained via contracts or employment by the University.

The Operational Estate comprising some 370 teaching, academic and research buildings with a total footprint of 723,000 square metres. Maintaining these buildings to a safe and compliant standard is challenging, but you'll be an integral part of the Universities mission to contribute to society through the pursuit of education, learning and research at the highest international levels of excellence.

The PPM Supervisor will support the work of the Estates and Equans Operational teams in the area of Planned Preventative Maintenance and statutory compliance. The purpose of the role is to facilitate the programming of preventative maintenance and statutory compliance schedules for build. The PPM Supervisor will develop the detailed plans in the Equans CAFM system, ensuring all assets relevant to the contract are included in the plans and that the correct maintenance procedures are used. You will also ensure the transfer of Statutory Compliance Inspections and associated remedial actions is done in a timely and consistent manner.

You will work collaboratively with the internal compliance and engineering contract teams order to obtain, interrogate and manage the data and to ensure that the Universities asset data sets are accurate within the Equans CAFM system.

You will be responsible for the collation of data required for the production of various compliance reports that will be utilised at both estate division level and university committee level.

About You

You are able to demonstrable experience of PPM scheduling and program management within a facilities or asset management environment, along with having experience in contract management, H&S regulations, permitting systems and be a strong data manager.

Ideally you will have used a variety of CAFM and ERM systems previously and are used to working within a strong data driven environment.

For this role you will need strong interpersonal and organisational skills which will help you with your ability to work within a team, plan and manage work activities, communicate and prioritise workloads. You will also have previous experience of team management to ensure work processes are maintained at all times.
