Undergraduate Administrator [Temporary Cover]
The Department of Geography is seeking an experienced and dynamic administrator to co-ordinate its undergraduate course provision. This is a fixed-term vacancy to cover for a colleague on leave, offering an exciting opportunity to join a small, friendly team and experience a key role supporting the work of the Department of Geography.
The role-holder is the first point of contact and administrative lead for undergraduate matters in the Department. They are responsible for the management and co-ordination of the Undergraduate Office and oversight of all undergraduate activities in the Department, including providing advice and administrative support to the academic Director and Assistant Director of Undergraduate Studies, to the two Examination Board Chairs, and to students. They co-ordinate the lecture timetable, the induction of new students and the updating and dissemination of course materials; the submission and marking of coursework throughout the year and the year-end Exam Boards. They are the first point of contact in the Department for other Departments, University central offices and colleges on all undergraduate matters.
This role requires a high level of autonomous working and the role-holder is responsible for identifying and prioritising their own work, determining how the duties should be performed and deciding when, and to whom, matters should be referred.
The Undergraduate Administrator is supported by the full-time Teaching Administrator, approximately half of whose time is allocated to undergraduate matters.

Temporary cover: This post is fixed-term for 12 months or the return of the post holder, whichever is the earlier.
