We are seeking an experienced administrator to provide support to one of the three research Hubs in the Department of Physics.
The duties will include being first point of contact for the Hub, monitoring the shared inbox and responding to queries, making travel arrangements, booking rooms, and events organisation. You will provide some support to the HR and Finance functions in the Hub, helping to arrange interviews and undertaking right to work checks etc. You will also process purchase orders and invoices, referring to the Hub Finance Administrator when necessary. You will have previous experience in an administrative role, will be highly organised and efficient, able to prioritise and work flexibly when the role demands. Experience of University HR and finance systems would be an advantage, but not essential as full training will be given. Once an offer of employment has been accepted, the successful candidate will be required to undergo a health assessment.
