Quality and Policy Manager


The Education Quality and Policy Office (EQPO) seeks a dedicated individual to join our enthusiastic team.

EQPO contributes to the University's development of educational quality through supporting core quality assurance activities, as well as undertaking policy-related projects and/or research initiated by the Education Committee. This work includes review and revision of policy and procedures in the light of internal needs and external requirements or guidance.

The work is varied, and key responsibilities include:

  • acting as a key contact for a set of Faculties and Departments providing advice and guidance about their internal quality assurance arrangements for teaching
  • Supporting Faculties and Departments through Education Monitoring and Review, and review reports of External Examiners
  • Servicing various University and College Committees by preparing agendas and papers and researching items of interest to the committees
  • Participating in a review of education policies; drafting, reviewing and updating policies
  • serving on Steering Committees and Working Groups on behalf of the Office

  • have experience of managing a wide and complex range of projects and procedures
  • can demonstrate the ability to prioritise work and be proactive
  • have the ability to communication effectively with staff and students
  • have excellent report writing skills with the ability to communication complex, technical information
  • can demonstrate adaptability and problem solving skills
  • are educated to degree level or equivalent

A hybrid work model is possible at certain times, however, the role requires some days per week in the office (exact days to be negotiated).
