Administrative Assistant THIS Institute (Fixed Term)


The institute's Director's Office team is seeking an Administrative Assistant who can effectively build relationships and collaborate with the institute's teams. The ideal candidate should have prior experience working in a fast-paced office environment and be able to provide diary management and administrative support to senior staff.

The ideal Administrative Assistant will be able to demonstrate exceptional diary management skills, preferably with experience in managing multiple diaries. You will be adept at identifying and resolving diary conflicts and actioning daily priorities. You will also possess outstanding administrative skills, including a keen attention to detail.

As a proficient communicator, you will possess exceptional writing and verbal skills, with a keen eye for grammar, punctuation, and composition. You will also have outstanding organizational abilities to help you efficiently manage your workload and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

You will excel in organising events and meetings using Zoom and MS Teams, managing room bookings, and sending out invitations and directions. You will have previous experience preparing, collating and distributing materials for events, seminars, and meetings to enable hybrid working.

Ultimately you will be integral to supporting senior staff, including the Director of Research, Senior Research Associates, Strategic Operations Lead, the Governance and Director's Office Lead and the Executive Assistant in a variety of activities.

You will be a great team player and someone who can assume responsibility autonomously as this role requires you to think quickly on your feet and solve problems. You will work in a vibrant and fast-paced environment, allowing you the opportunity to learn new skills and develop your career.

This position is full time and the funding is available until 31 March 2027.

Location - Department of Public Health and Primary Care, Strangeways Research Laboratory, Worts Causeway, Cambridge CB1 8RN (approximately 2 miles south of the city centre)
