Quality Assurance Manager (Fixed Term)
The CRUK Cambridge Centre is seeking to recruit a full-time Quality Assurance Manager, who will be based in the Cambridge Cancer Trials Centre, on the Cambridge Biomedical Campus.
The post-holder will work within a small Quality Assurance (QA) team and co-ordinate the activities required to maintain and develop systems for assuring the quality of facilities, procedures, processes and data to the highest standards.
The post-holder will jointly be responsible for maintaining the legal and regulatory compliance of translational research, in both clinical and laboratory settings. In addition to responsibility for overseeing the validation of procedures, conduct an independent auditing programme, identify areas of regulatory risk and bring these to the attention of senior staff in the CRUK Cambridge Centre.
The successful candidate will be educated to degree level or equivalent in a Life Science related subject area, and ideally hold a formal Quality Assurance qualification. In addition, they will have good communication skills (both written and verbal) and be able to explain complex regulatory issues to colleagues in a clear and logical way. They will have the proven ability to work independently and flexibly, and will have the ability to rapidly assimilate new information and knowledge and to meet challenging deadlines.
