NIHR Clinical Lecturer in Old Age Psychiatry OR Public Health Medicine OR General Practice
Applications are invited for a NIHR Clinical Lecturer in Old Age Psychiatry OR Public Health Medicine OR General Practice.
Based on the Cambridge Biomedical Campus this post offers unrivalled opportunity to undertake high quality research within an outstanding academic and clinical environment. Applicants should be medically qualified, have full GMC registration, and an existing NTN/NTN(A) in Old Age Psychiatry or Public Health. For General Practice applicants should be medically qualified, have full GMC registration, and have completed clinical training in General Practice.
You are required to hold or have submitted a PhD/DPhil/MD at the time of your application, and be of the standing required for an appropriate honorary contract. Candidates who have not submitted their PhD/MD at the time of application will not be considered.
Please note this post has been awarded with the research theme 'Dementia'. The appointee will be expected to develop a research programme in that theme area.
This is a fixed term appointment for a maximum of 4 years (or until CCT for Old Age Psychiatry and Public Health Medicine); (subject to any extension that you apply for and be granted by NIHR, which can be for a maximum of 24 months).
Salary Scales
SpR £35,254pa - £61,042pa
StR £35,858pa - £63,423pa
Nodal £40,257pa - £58,398pa
pre-2003 (GP) £73,367 - £95,104
This appointment requires an Honorary Clinical Contract. This is an integrated appointment between the University and NHS trust/Body. You will therefore also be issued with an Honorary Clinical Contract by NHS Trust/Body. You should be aware that if your contract with NHS Trust/Body is terminated your employment with the University will be terminated, and vice versa.
You will require GMC registration, Licence to Practice and Medical Defence Cover for the duration of your appointment.
Fixed-term: 4 years.
