Research Associate (Fixed Term)
This postdoctoral research associate position, funded by the Foundation for Prader-Willi Research (FPWR), is focussed on analysing multi-echo functional MRI data in relation to hyperphagia in Prader-Willi syndrome. The research will aim to translate objective MRI measures of hunger and satiety into clinical trial outcomes. Experience with analysis and publication of neuroimaging data is essential. Competence with MATLAB, python, R or other programming languages is highly desirable. In addition, research experience in neurodevelopmental or rare genetic disorders is desirable, but not essential.
The successful candidate will work as part of a diverse research team aiming to apply cutting edge neuroimaging techniques to further understanding of the neurobiology of Prader-Willi syndrome, obesity, psychosis and Alzheimer's disease. They will be responsible for data analysis and lead author manuscript preparation.
Candidates should have a PhD or equivalent in Psychology, Psychiatry, Cognitive Neuroscience or allied neuroimaging fields, or be very close to completion/award of same prior to their appointment to the post.
Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available for 1 years in the first instance.

Appointment at Research Associate level is dependent on having a PhD. Those who have submitted but not yet received their PhD will initially be appointed as a Research Assistant (Grade 5, Point 38 £31,411) moving to Research Associate (Grade 7) upon confirmation of your PhD award.
