Research Nurse (Fixed Term)
Applications are invited to apply for a Research Nurse position within an established translational research programme headed by Professor Rebecca Fitzgerald, focusing on familial gastric cancer and patients with the pre-cancerous conditions of the upper GI tract with a goal to improve diagnosis and management of patients with genetic or acquired predisposition to cancer. The specific purpose of this role will be to Coordinate and run the Familial Gastric Cancer study and support a portfolio of studies on Barrett's oesophagus and oesophageal adenocarcinoma. The role is an active nursing role with direct patient contact with a particular emphasis on recruitment, sample collection, data entry and study co-ordination. The post holder will work closely with Dr Massimiliano di Pietro (Endoscopy) and Prof Marc Tischkowitz (Clinical Genetics) and ad within an established team of clinicians, researchers, research nurses and administrators.
The successful candidate should have significant post-registration clinical experience and previous research experience in commercial and/or non-commercial clinical trials. Previous study coordinator and endoscopy nurse experience is desirable.
Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available until June 2025 in the first instance.
