PA to Head of Department of Surgery [Job-Share] [Temporary Cover]


The Department of Surgery is looking to recruit a PA to the Head of Department on a part time temporary basis to cover Maternity Leave. The post will provide a comprehensive PA/secretarial supportive service to the Head of the Department of Surgery, as well as other professors within the Department, to ensure the efficient and effective management of individuals' time and work.

The role will provide PA support including diary management, travel arrangements, handling expense claims, maintenance of office equipment and organising events and meetings.

Suitable candidates will have previous PA/ secretarial administrative experience and preferably have experience of working in a higher education environment. It is also essential that candidates are competent in the use of Outlook packages.

The role will be working on a part time basis for 18.25 hours per week, Wednesday to Friday and will be part of a job share arrangement.

Maternity cover: This post is fixed-term for 12 months or on the return of the post holder whose maternity leave you are covering, whichever is the earliest.
