Deputy Portfolio Manager

You will be able to take a pragmatic approach, balancing the need for appropriate governance and structure with the ability to empower teams to deliver. You will thrive in complexity and will enjoying bringing clarity to work through your analytical and problem-solving skills. Prior experience of portfolio management is desirable but not essential, and this role could represent an excellent opportunity for a candidate looking to develop their skills in portfolio management.
Cambridge is a complex environment with a highly devolved organisational structure, and you'll be adept at influencing and problem solving in a consensus-based organisation where successful outcomes are as dependent on organisational support and change as on the technology that UIS delivers.
This is a new role reporting to the current Portfolio Manager (Education and Infrastructure) and will cover a range of activity, such as clarifying and prioritising portfolio work, setting up new work for success and delivery troubleshooting.
We offer an excellent benefits package, including 41 days annual leave (including public holidays). We are still working mainly from home, and so are open to applicants who live outside Cambridge but are willing to travel regularly to Cambridge.
