The Use Less Group has invented and patented the world's first process for producing conventional cement with zero emissions. Cement 2 Zero is a two-year programme of industrial demonstration of this new process, which will lead to production and use of 20 tonnes of the new cement by summer 2024.
This role has been created to develop and execute a project management plan to maximise the impact of the Cement 2 Zero research activities and offers an exceptional opportunity for a Senior Project Manager to work on the industrial demonstration of zero emission cement production. The successful candidate will work in the Use Less Group at the Engineering Department's central Cambridge site and will manage programme deliverables as part of this two-year interdisciplinary UKRI Cement 2 Zero collaboration.
The successful candidate will hold a First degree in a relevant subject and be able to demonstrate highly specialised knowledge of research management. You will have administrative or project management experience in a similar environment with the ability to draft complex scientific documents for publications and research proposals. Proven interpersonal skills to interact with a wide range of people are an essential requirement for this role as you will be working closely with research scientists as well as other stakeholders. You will be expected to act with a high level of independence and to work proactively using your own initiative.
