The School of Clinical Medicine is seeking to recruit a Custodian/Service Technician which will provide support to the Clifford Allbutt/Island Research Building which is located on the Cambridge Biomedical Campus.
The role holder will provide general laboratory support to the buildings and research groups ensuring adequate service supply including gas checks, dry ice deliveries, the disposal of laboratory waste and small maintenance work to support research activity. The role also assists with fire safety and water hygiene.
Other duties will include supporting glass wash and Goods In in their daily tasks to keep the building service up at all times.
Ideally you will have previous experience in carrying out repairs and dealing with custodial tasks, while experience in the operation of autoclaves and glass washer would be an advantage.
Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available until 31 December 2023 in the first instance.
