Graduate Administrator (Part Time)


The Department of Politics and International Studies (POLIS) is looking to recruit a part-time graduate administrator to join their graduate office. The role is for 23 hours per week which can be arranged to suit the successful applicant and the needs of the Department.

Based in the Centre for Development Studies the role holder is responsible for the administration of the PhD in Development Studies, a popular programme which attracts a strong cohort of students each year. The post holder works alongside, and reports to, the Centre Administrator.

Educated to at least A-level standard (or equivalent) you will have relevant administrative experience in a role which has required you to prioritise and re-prioritise as needs change. Ideally you will have excellent customer service skills, work efficiently and able to follow Departmental procedures. You must be organised and able to work autonomously with plenty of common sense, a calm nature and a pro-active approach to challenges.

Once an offer of employment has been accepted, the successful candidate will be required to undergo a health assessment.
