An exciting new opportunity has arisen in the Department of Psychology for a HR Visitor and Compliance Administrator. The Department of Psychology is a busy teaching and research Department in the School of Biological Sciences with approximately 30 University Teaching Officers, around 150 members of staff and 100 postgraduate students.
This new position in the Department will coordinate the Department visitor management system through the entire lifecycle of the visitor process. The Department of Psychology has upwards of 90 academic/student and collaborative researchers visiting over a year, increasingly these visitors require visas and guidance on the visa application process.
We expect this position to support the School of Biological Sciences with visitor visa queries and to become expert in this area, disseminating best practice to colleagues in the School.
In addition, the position will assist with generalist HR administration, in particular assisting with employee recruitment, engaging temporary workers and processing temporary worker claim forms. This requires a methodical approach with a good eye for detail.
Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available for 2 years in the first instance.
Once an offer of employment has been accepted, the successful candidate will be required to undergo a health assessment.
Applications are welcome from internal candidates who would like to apply for the role on the basis of a secondment from their current role in the University.
