Applications are invited for a Research Associate (PostDoc) or Research Assistant to join the Prorok Lab in the Department of Computer Science and Technology, at the University of Cambridge, UK. Our lab is a team of PostDocs and PhD students investigating new coordination / cooperation schemes for multi-agent and multi-robot systems. Our mission is to find efficient and resilient methods for coordinating artificially intelligent agents to achieve common goals in shared physical and virtual spaces.
The Research Associate/Assistant will work together with a team of students and research collaborators on models that facilitate the coordination of multi-agent systems with multiple, potentially conflicting objectives. We seek candidates with a strong background in computer science, substantial experience with reinforcement learning, and a keen interest in multi-agent systems. Experience with graph neural networks (GNNs) is a plus.
The position will be renewed on a yearly basis. There will be opportunities to contribute to international collaborative projects with other universities as well as industry.
Requirements: Candidates should have a Ph.D. and a strong publication record optimization / control / machine learning / automation. The ideal candidate should be familiar with multi-agent systems, have excellent programming skills, and experience in methods for optimization and reinforcement learning. Good communication, presentation and management skills are desirable.
