Applications are invited for this exciting and challenging position to play a key role in recruiting volunteers to the NIHR BioResource, including the coordination & administration of recruitment activities, database management and liaising with volunteers, patients, clinicians and researchers. The role will focus on recruitment for research studies on Common Diseases, but may also assist with recruitment and maintenance of the general population and rare disease cohorts when necessary.

NIHR BioResource is a unique and powerful resource for studying disease mechanisms and for investigating the links between genes, the environment, health and disease, enabling scientific discoveries as well as facilitating translational medicine for the benefit of patients.

Candidates should have experience that is relevant to the post, with an understanding of research methodology and good organisational and communications skills, and ideally be educated to degree level in a relevant subject. The post holder will require a Research Passport which will be applied for once an offer has been accepted.

This appointment is full-time, 37 hours per week.
NIHR BioResource is funded by the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) as part of a 5 year funding cycle. The funds for this post are available until 30 November 2022 in the first instance. A further 5 years of NIHR funding will be dependent on our successful application for renewal.
Our offices are on the Cambridge Biomedical Campus, CB2 0QQ (approximately 2 miles south of the city centre). Work - life balance is important, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic and we are open to discussion on flexible working.
