Kettle's Yard is seeking an organised, enthusiastic and proactive assistant to support our Development Team. The Development team's purpose is to increase Kettle's Yard sustainability by generating income through philanthropy. The effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, and subsequent reduction in visitor numbers and commercial income, have made fundraising even more crucial.
You will be joining the organisation at a challenging but exciting time, supporting the Head of Development and the Development Manager in delivering the fundraising targets across all strands of our work. The Development Assistant is a pivotal role taking the lead in gift administration, day to day liaison with the Friends of Kettle's Yard, as well as assisting in events and marketing for both annual giving and campaigns. Fundraising generates approximately £400,000 a year and we need to continue to grow this year on year. Donor stewardship through events and targeted communications play an important part in our strategy. We are looking for someone who can build strong relationships both internally and externally, has a key eye for detail, is a creative thinker who can suggest new ways of working to improve efficiency and help us to maximise philanthropic income. If you are passionate about the arts and want to help secure its future through encouraging others to value and support it we want to hear from you. We believe that diversity strengthens and enriches us. We are committed to helping to make the arts and cultural sector a more diverse and equal place.
