The Faculty is looking to appoint a well-organised and enthusiastic person to run the Postgraduate Admissions Office. The Faculty welcomes applications from candidates who are well organised, have good communication skills, and able to use their own initiative.
The jobholder is expected to process postgraduate applications for admission, administer, with the Director of Admissions, the scoring and nominations for funding by the appropriate deadlines. Manage a part-time grade 3 post. Organise Induction sessions, and Postgraduate Open Day. Prepare publicity for postgraduate courses and produce admissions statistics.
The Faculty is looking for an individual with excellent organisational and time management skills. The duties are diverse and the jobholder must be able to tailor the support provided to the varying needs of the individuals concerned as well as respond diplomatically when faced with competing requests for assistance. The post calls for initiative, a high level of accuracy, a good eye for detail, an ability to work to furious deadlines and a flexible and adaptable attitude to work.
This is a full-time post, Mondays to Fridays, ideally 8:45 till 5:00.
Probation: there will be an initial period of probation of 6 months.
Location: the Faculty of Economics is located on Sidgwick Avenue, Cambridge, CB3 9DD.
