The Cancer Research UK Cambridge Centre (CRUK CC) is seeking to recruit a part-time (0.5 FTE) Programme Manager to support the Cancer Imaging Programme. This is an exciting position, and the Programme Manager will work directly with the existing part-time Programme Manager and Programme Leads, Professor Kevin Brindle, Dr Ferdia Gallagher, and Professor Evis Sala in managing the programme specific duties and responsibilities and, in particular, in taking new imaging probes and computational methods into the clinic.
The role will include monitoring of programme objectives against milestones, co-ordination of resources, meeting management and support to Programme Leads. Supporting grant applications and monitoring grant expenditure will also form part of the role. Other activities will be agreed at Programme level.
The Programme Manager will also work directly with the CRUK Cambridge Centre administrative office in meeting the strategic goals of the Centre and liaising with the office and other programme and project managers in the Centre.
Applicants will ideally have a degree in a relevant subject or equivalent experience. In addition, they will have demonstrable organisational skills, programme management experience, and previous exposure to clinical or translational research. Experience of imaging studies is desirable. Applicants should be able to demonstrate verbal and written communication skills, a systematic and rigorous approach to work, and the ability to work in a team.
Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available until 31 March 2022 in the first instance.
