The Department of Plant Sciences is seeking to appoint a Senior Research Laboratory Manager for the Head of Department, Professor Sir David Baulcombe. They will have delegated authority for all consumables and equipment expenditure relating to a large research group with a significant research grant portfolio. The role-holder will facilitate efficient and safe operation of the laboratory, which is shared with the group of Dr Ian Henderson and they will participate in various research projects together with Prof Baulcombe and members of his group.
We are looking for someone with significant experience of plant molecular biology. The successful candidate will be familiar with setting up standard operating procedures for use of equipment and facilities, and they will be skilled in safety procedures and a range of laboratory protocols. They will be an excellent communicator, with a positive attitude.
Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available for 3 years in the first instance.
