Applications are invited for this exciting and challenging position to lead the team responsible for the recall of volunteers to research studies and clinical trials for the NIHR BioResource for Translational Research ("NIHR BioResource").

NIHR BioResource is a unique and powerful resource for studying disease mechanisms and for investigating the links between genes, the environment, health and disease, enabling scientific discoveries as well as facilitating translational medicine for the benefit of patients.

The appointee will manage a team of study coordinators and administrative staff and will work closely with researchers to understand their requirements and to provide access to research volunteers, their data and/or samples, ensuring ethical and statutory compliance.
Candidates should have experience that is relevant to the post, including proven success of recruitment to, and running of, research studies and/or clinical trials and ideally be educated to degree level in a relevant subject. Excellent organisational and communication skills across a range of stakeholders and a track record of successful leadership and line management are essential.

This appointment is full-time, 37 hours per week.
This position is to provide temporary cover for a maximum of 1 year or the return of the post-holder, whichever is the earliest.
Our offices are on the Cambridge Biomedical Campus, CB2 0QQ (approximately 2 miles south of the city centre). Work - life balance is important, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic and we are open to discussion on flexible working, including an element of home working.
