We are seeking to appoint a Research Assistant to contribute to a systematic review and individual participant data meta-analysis of randomised controlled trials looking at mindfulness-based interventions for mental health promotion. This is an opportunity for a driven individual with experience and a keen interest in mindfulness interventions and in Cochrane-style systematic reviews of trials in the area of mental health promotion.
The successful candidate will assist with a search update, data extraction and quality assessment (critical appraisal) of the included trials as a second independent reviewer, communication with trial authors from a variety of countries for obtaining further data, and data preparation for meta-analysis. Contribution to publications will be encouraged as a co-author. They should be familiar with randomised controlled trials, systematic reviews and mental health research. Mindfulness research experience is desirable.
The post is supported by the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust (CPFT) in the context of a larger programme of research supported by the NHS National Institutes for Health Research (NIHR). The role holder will support and maintain the University's national and international reputation for excellence in research. Contribution will be as a member of a research team carrying out research under the direction of a principal investigator. The role holder will participate in the overall contribution of the department as appropriate.
