The Student Services Centre Support Team provides a centralised finance and HR service to a number of teams that make up Education Services. These teams perform a range of activities to support students before, during and after their time at the University.
In this role, you will coordinate the financial administration for teams within the Student Services Centre. You will oversee the processing and preparation of invoices, banking and payroll returns by the finance assistants, prepare monthly financial reports for team leaders and develop financial policies and procedures. In addition, you will assist the SSC Support Team Manager with annual financial submissions, monitor income and expenditure against forecasts and have line management responsibilities.
To perform this role we are seeking someone who can show substantial experience: in an accounts/administration environment, of using standard Microsoft Office packages (particularly Excel), and of using relevant reporting tools; evidence of good project management skills; and display excellent communication skills. You should be educated to degree level/level 6 vocational qualification, or evidence of the equivalent level of practical experience.
Information for internal applicants: Whilst funding for this role is available for three years in the first instance, for internal candidates seeking a secondment opportunity we would consider recruiting someone to this post for 1-2 years, due to secondments generally not being able to last longer than two years.
Please note that approval from your home institution is required to take up this post as a secondment.
Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available for 3 years in the first instance.
