The University of Cambridge is seeking a knowledgeable and committed individual to join the University's Estate Facilities Section as the Asbestos Manager. Estate Facilities is responsible for maintaining and operating the University's Operational Estate, along with its statutory compliance, including compliance with the Control of Asbestos Regulations and other asbestos related legislation.
The role holder will support the Senior Health & Compliance Manager, assume the responsibility for specialised asbestos service provision and manage the Asbestos Advisor and contracts related to asbestos services to the University.
The role holder will also review and develop asbestos policy, management and procurement and report on performance to Committees. The promotion of asbestos awareness, management and collaborative stakeholder engagement, record and data management and delivery of training are other key components.
Candidates should have excellent inter-personal and communications skills, knowledge of both maintenance and capital project delivery across a highly serviced mixed portfolio estate, along with contract administration and stakeholder management experience.
Candidates must have proven asbestos management experience.
