The Department of Clinical Neurosciences is located at the Cambridge Biomedical Campus and currently hosts over 300 academic and associated staff. The aim of the Department is to understand the nervous system in health and disease in order to develop new treatments for incurable neurological disorders and, as one of the largest departments in the School of Clinical Medicine, the Department attracts significant student numbers and holds a substantial grant portfolio.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, capable and experienced Finance Officer to work full time to support the continued growth of the Department and to manage the knowledgeable finance section.
The role will be responsible to the Assistant Business Operations Manager and Head of Department for the management of all aspects of financial operations, ensuring adherence with University policies and delivering unwavering support to all staff in the Department. An important element of the work of the post is grant management, supporting principal investigators and junior staff to navigate the finance procedures and policies associated with grant applicants.
