If so, we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Development Project Manager to join an ambitious, proactive, fast paced team.
Cambridge University Development and Alumni Relations is the fundraising and alumni engagement arm of the University. It has responsibility for raising major philanthropic gifts from alumni and non-alumni sources, and for encouraging lifelong relationships and building links between the University, its alumni and supporters; Building on the success of the University's 800th Anniversary Campaign - the first European university campaign to raise £1 billion philanthropically - the current campaign for the University and Colleges of Cambridge, launched in October 2015, focuses on the University's impact on the world and will work with philanthropists to address major global problems. As of June 2019, the £2 billion campaign (www.cam.ac.uk/YoursCambridge had already raised £1.5 billion towards its total.
You will report directly into the Managing Director of Development, providing complex, high-level and specialized project management support. Your role will provide operational, project and communications support and act as a link between all of the Development teams to ensure continuity across the Programmes.
You will manage a variety of diverse projects within the Managing Director of Development's portfolio as they relate to the delivery of our campaign fundraising priorities. You will build, maintain and manage a project plan which consolidates and sequences all of the various components of development related activities to ensure successful delivery of each project.
You will be responsible for the overall coordination of Collegiate Cambridge's Prospect review meetings, the coordination of key external events, alongside the events team, which are worldwide in their nature, and many other diverse assignments.
With experience of coordinating multiple projects at the same time, you will be proactive, have excellent interpersonal and organisational skills. You will have the ability to work effectively on your own initiative and as a member of a team, often operating under pressure and to tight deadlines.
