HR Assistant Administrator (Part Time)

Applications are invited for a part-time (18.25 hours per week) HR Assistant Administrator in the Department of Zoology.

Zoology is a large Department (c.250 staff including graduate students) with the recently refurbished Museum of Zoology located in the city centre.

The post-holder will support the HR and Grants Administrator in carrying out key HR processes including recruitment, induction, probation, sickness, maternity leave and others. S/he will maintain the visitors' database and will draft Visitor Agreements.

Applicants should have a good general education; previous HR or general administrative experience in a large or complex organization is desirable. They should have excellent communication skills to help them support a wide diversity of staff, students and visitors. They must be competent in using all standard IT packages including Microsoft Office. The successful candidate will be well organised with good attention to detail in recording data and checking written correspondence. S/he will be self-motivated and able to prioritise their own workload within a very busy timetable.

The post-holder will need to be committed to tact and discretion in dealing with confidential information and documents.
