The MRC Epidemiology Unit is seeking to appoint a Senior Group Administrator.
This position is based in the Unit's Business team but will be seconded to the MRC Nutrition and Bone Health (NBH) group which works within the Unit. The primary role of this post is to support the work of the NBH group, and particularly the group leader, with all aspects of administration. Tasks will include diary management for travel, external and overseas meetings; preparing information packs for travel and meetings, assisting with scientific literature searches and the annual Researchfish return; submitting expense claims, monitoring budgets and maintaining records of sickness, appraisals etc.
The MRC Epidemiology Unit is a department within the University of Cambridge's School of Clinical Medicine and is situated within the Institute of Metabolic Science on the Cambridge Biomedical Campus. Its mission is to study the genetic, developmental and environmental factors that cause obesity, diabetes and related metabolic disorders and develop strategies for their prevention.
The successful candidate will have experience of PA and administrative work. Applicants will have proven organisational and time management skills and be competent in MS Office packages, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
