Building Surveyor

Estate Management is looking to recruit a Building Surveyor to have direct responsibility for all duties connected with the alteration, repair and maintenance of buildings within a designated area of the Estate.

As part of a surveying team you will provide front line support to University Departments by undertaking condition surveys, defect diagnosis, specification writing and management of small projects from feasibility study to completion. The role will also include the supervision of a Trainee Building Surveyor.

The ideal candidate will be educated to at least HND or equivalent in relevant subject or, HNC/GNVQ equivalent in relevant subject along with previous practical experience to a high standard. You should have excellent organisational and communication skills along with the ability to use CAD and the Microsoft suite of IT software.

This is an exciting opportunity to develop a building surveying career on a diverse and rapidly expanding estate. Support will be given to candidates wishing to gain full membership to the RICS.
