Research Administrator (Part Time, Fixed Term)

Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available until 28 February 2023 in the first instance.

The Faculty of Economics is seeking a motivated, enthusiastic and reliable individual for the role of Research Administrator, based Sidgwick Avenue, Cambridge. The role holder is to support the Principal Investigator, Dr Matt Elliott, in running a 5-year European Research Council grant under the Horizon 2020 scheme. The post-holder will provide administrative and clerical support to the PI toward managing the grant, organizing grant related recruiting and research activities, regular financial reporting and billing. He/she will produce some financial management reports as necessary for both internal and external purpose.

Hours of work will be 7.5 hours/week from Monday to Friday.

The successful applicant will be educated to at least 'A' level standard or equivalent. He/she will be proficient in the use of IT and will be able to demonstrate their competency in word processing, spreadsheets, databases and email packages. Excellent organisational and written and verbal communication skills are also required together with the ability to work both autonomously and as a part of a team.

Probation: There will be an initial period of probation of 6 months.

Once an offer of employment has been accepted, the successful candidate will be required to undergo a health assessment.
