The Department of Architecture wishes to appoint a University Lecturer specializing in Design Research in Architecture. Candidates will be expected to be engaged in high-level research, to publish in their specialist field, to seek opportunities to win external funding for that research, to teach and examine undergraduates, and to supervise and examine MPhil and PhD work. The successful candidate will additionally have specific responsibility for leading and directing the MPhil in Architecture & Urban Design (MAUD) course, and for delivering teaching in design.
Candidates must have an excellent first degree in Architecture, a Masters (e.g. MArch, MPhil, Diploma) in Architecture (with exemption from ARB/RIBA Parts 2 & 3), and ideally a doctorate in Architecture or a closely-related field (or substantial comparable and relevant experience). They are also required to participate fully in studio-related teaching activities and assessments.
We are seeking an individual with a rising academic trajectory and a strong record of research publications commensurate with their level of experience, who has the potential to become a key player in the Department's teaching and research activities.
