Campaign Project Co-ordinator (Fixed Term)

Do you want to work for an organisation that truly has an impact on the world we live in? Are you looking for your next challenge?

Cambridge University Development and Alumni Relations are looking for an outstanding Project Coordinator to join a varied, fast-paced team. In autumn 2015 Cambridge launched its most ambitious fundraising campaign to date. The Dear World... Yours, Cambridge campaign for the University and Colleges looks to raise £2bn to attract the brightest minds, create the most inspiring environment for world-class research and enable Cambridge to continue to respond to the world's biggest challenges. As of the end of October 2018, more than £1 billion towards the target has been raised. For more information on the campaign, visit https://www.philanthropy.cam.ac.uk/

As Cambridge builds momentum to deliver the second half of this ambitious campaign, effective project coordination is vital.

As a member of the extended campaign team, the role will provide operational, project and communications support to colleagues including the Chief Operating Officer and Associate Directors within the campaign team, and will support relationships with high-level stakeholders, such as Campaign Board members, who represent some of Cambridge's most significant donors. The Campaign Project Coordinator will coordinate a variety of diverse projects and work streams. You will build and maintain project plans which consolidate and sequence all of the various components of campaign-related activities to ensure successful delivery, smooth running and success of the campaign.

You will coordinate communications relating to the campaign, including drafting documents, preparing relevant reports and collateral, responding to enquiries, providing information to a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.

With experience of coordinating multiple projects at the same time, you will have excellent interpersonal and organisational skills with the ability to work effectively on your own initiative and as a member of a team, often operating under pressure and to tight deadlines, with experience of using a database to support your work.

This is a great opportunity to join the University of Cambridge Development and Alumni Relations office at a critical and exciting time. The Development and Alumni Relations Office is responsible for raising major philanthropic gifts and building and sustaining lifelong links between Cambridge and its worldwide community of more than 300,000 alumni and supporters. The Office also holds overall responsibility for coordinating University-wide development campaigns and raising funds to support Schools, faculties, departments and other central University institutions. Development and Alumni Relations works closely with Cambridge's 31 Colleges and its sister office, Cambridge in America, to maximise fundraising from a range of constituencies across the globe.
