We are seeking an experienced person to provide part-time HR administrative and secretarial support to the Operations Manager and the Department PIs. This is a an exceptionally varied role including tasks such as: managing day to day HR procedures, initiating and recording probation meetings & appraisals, overseeing the visitor agreements, research passports and medical honorary contracts, recording holiday and sick leave and mandatory training along with assisting the Operations Manager (OM) with managing the graduate students and contributing to the under graduate student management. The role also provides PA support to the Department's University Lecturers, Clinical Lecturers and OM with some diary management, travel booking and secretarial support, checking expense claims and requesting new suppliers, also taking minutes at some Departmental meetings.
You will have experience of working in a similar role and possess excellent organisational and IT skills, as well as the ability to manage a diverse workload. You will need to be numerate with demonstrable office skills. The work is often confidential and requires accuracy and attention to detail. You need to work effectively with a range of individuals at different levels both within and outside the University coupled with managing and prioritising your workload. Knowledge of the Universities systems would be an advantage but training is available.
