Digital Communications Coordinator (Fixed Term)

The Department of Computer Science and Technology wishes to recruit a Communications Coordinator to implement the Department's digital communications and outreach strategies.

The Department has a strong record of research, industrial impact and a range of innovative teaching techniques. The primary role of the Digital Communication Coordinator will be to promote the research, teaching and impact activities of the department through the use of digital communications. This work will aim to raise awareness of general and specific activities with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders and audiences, and includes content creation, editorial support, and development of strategy and processes to support and enhance the Department's communications. To this end, it is essential that the Digital Communication Coordinator will develop a strong working relationship with other colleagues in the Department, with a particular focus upon understanding the work of its academics to support them in publicising their research digitally, promoting their outreach activities and industrial collaborations.

Applicants should have a degree level qualification in a relevant subject/Level 6 vocational qualification (or equivalent), have experience of working with a broad range of communication channels and, most importantly, digital communication. Some experience of scientific or technical writing would be desirable.
